Oyo State public primary school teachers on Monday suspended its ongoing strike action.
Recall that InsideOyo.com reported the strike action embarked upon by teachers after meeting with the Senator Abiola Ajimobi-led government ended in deadlock.
In a statement made available to InsideOyo.com on Monday night, the National Union Of Teachers in the state said it decided to suspend the strike as the new government met with one of their requirements.
The statement signed by the state chairman and secretary of the Union, Comrade S. T Adedoyin and M. Abdullahi said the government has decided captured promotion of public school teachers with its financial benefits in April salary while the promotion arrears of February and March had been sent to bank for onward payment.
