Comptroller, Nigerian Customs Service, Osun/ Oyo Area Command, Mr. Zulkifili Abdulahi Argungu, has declared that the organisation was able to meet 90 per cent of its revenue target for the year 2018, stressing that over N21bn has been generated by the Command.
While briefing journalists at the Command’s headquarters in Ibadan, Argungu, said “It is noteworthy that our revenue collection has remarkably improved this year, as the command has collected the sum of twenty one billion, nine hundred and fifty four million, two hundred and eighty six thousand, three hundred and eighty kobo (N21, 954, 286, 380.9k) .
“This said amount, we gathered in our excise factories from January 2018 till date.
However, this amount represented the 90% of the Command’s revenue targeted for this year 2018. We are committed to do anything humanly possible in accordance with the law to actualize the goals set by the government in this regard.
“The federal government is not relenting in its effort to boost the nation’s economy through local industries and strengthening security, especially at the nation’s borders.
This has remained an utmost priority to us in the Nigeria Customs Service”, he said.
