In reaction to the defection of Senator Rashidi Ladoja to Zenith Labour Party (ZLP), the Oyo State Executive Committee (SEC) of African Democratic Congress has called on the people of the state and teeming supporters of the party to stay calm saying that the situation is under control.
Mr. Adedapo Ademola, ADC’s Publicity Secretary gave the words of encouragement in a press statement signed and made available to PMparrot.
Mr. Ademola noted that the state’s party Chairman, Dr. Hamed Ayinla and the executive committee members have pledged their support to the course of ADC’s gubernatorial candidate, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin and all candidates of the party in the coming general elections in 2019.
He charged party men and women to shun any form of intimidation from any quarters and be rest assured that ADC in Oyo State has come to stay.
Ademola used the opportunity to call on all the party faithfuls across the 33 local government areas of the state to join hands together with the State Executive Committee members to give all the party’s candidates necessary support for them to emerge victorious at the polls in 2019.
“We are using this medium to encourage all citizens and members of the party to join hands with us and remain focused so that we can take this great party of ours to the next level.”
