The Leadership of the Muslim Community of Oyo State paid a courtesy call on the new Commissioner of Police, Dr. Adebola Hamzat on Wednesday, at State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.
During the visit, the Chairman, Muslim Community of Oyo State, Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni, prayed for a peaceful and successful tenure in Oyo State for the new CP.
The delegation comprised the leaderships of many Muslim organisations, communities and associations.
The delegation included Muslim Association of Nigeria (MAN), Nasrul-lahi-li Fathi Society of Nigeria (NASFAT), Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, National Council of Muslim Youth Organisations (NACOMYO), Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’ah, The Muslim Congress, Zonal leaders of the Muslim Community of Oyo State, and a host of others.
In his response, CP Adebola Hamzat was full of gratitude for the honour of the visit.
He promised to run the affairs of the security of the state through regular consultations with political, traditional, religious and community leaders across the length and breadth of the state.
