A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, representing Oyo East/Oyo West State Constituency, Hon. Olorunpoto Cephas Rahaman has described the emergence of the new Alaafin of Oyo, Prince Akeem Abimbola Owoade as the beginning of a new chapter in the glorious history of Oyo kingdom,
Hon Olorunpoto who made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Friday, expressed confidence that his reign, blessed by providence, will bring peace, progress, and prosperity to Oyo and beyond.
He, however, commended the leadership of Oyo state governor, engineer Seyi Makinde for his visionary and transparent handling of the process that culminated in the emergence of Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade
The statement reads: “It is with immense joy and reverence that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade, the divine choice, on his ascension to the revered throne of the Alaafin of Oyo.
“His emergence marks the beginning of a new chapter in the glorious history of our great kingdom, and we are confident that his reign, blessed by providence, will bring peace, progress, and prosperity to Oyo and beyond.
“I commend the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, for his visionary and transparent handling of the process that culminated in the emergence of Oba Akeem Abimbola Owoade.
