Oyo State government has reinstated the Onido of Ido, Oba Gbolagade Muritala Babalola (Gbadewolu I), six months after his suspension.
The Executive Council Chairman of Ido local government area, Mr Sheriff Adeojo, made the announcement on Tuesday while presenting the reinstatement letter to the monarch.
Recall the state government had
suspended Oba Gbolagade Muritala Babalola (Gbadewolu I) as the Onido of Ido in Ido Local Government Area of the State over alleged ties with illegal miners.
The suspension was made known in a letter dated 2nd of February, 2024 and signed by the the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Olusegun Olayiwola.
The letter indicated that Governor ‘Seyi Makinde approved the suspension on 1st of February, 2024.
