A federal lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North/South/Oriire federal constituency, Hon Segun Ogunwuyi is reportedly making plans to dump the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state few months after joining the party.
A sources closed to the lawmaker confided in Maga Icon Magazine, that Ogbomoso lawmaker may be pitching his tent with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
In February, Ogunwuyi, the only member of Labour Party (LP) in the House of Representatives decamped to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in show with other representatives at the floor of the House.
Ogunwuyi, Insideoyo.com had reported, said his action followed due process with the division in Labour Party and the need for his constituents to enjoy the benefits of belonging to the party at the center.
He had said: “My defection was with the consent of my constituents who voted for me under the LP, the same people would vote for me to return to the House come next year.
“With this development, my constituents will have more dividends of democracy now that I am in APC as we all know, that is the party that controls both Oyo state and the Federal government”.
When Insideoyo.com contacted his media aide, Mr Peter Ayoade, said it is better for media to wait till his defection.
Trouble started within the Oyo APC when the Unity Forum separated from the ruling party due to various ward congresses in the state.
He was among the seven federal lawmakers that issued SOS message to the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris, over alleged threats to their lives by Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state.
