The Oyo State House of Assembly has confirmed the newly nominated Commissioner, Alh Lawal Ismail Ayansiju.
Lawal who’s name was recently sent to the State lawmakers for screening by Governor Seyi Maakinde, was confirmed today as commissioner designate during the Monday plenary sitting.
Recall that the appointment of a cabinet member, former Commissioner in the Ministry of Works, Transport and Infrastructure, Prof Raphael Afonja was terminated by the State Government on August 10, 2020.
The Governor said the appointment was to fill the vacuum created in the Ministry since the termination of appointment of the Prof Raphael Afonja.
Lawal Ayansiju is an experienced and retired public servant, who has worked across many local governments in the State, and ready to deploy his over 30years of administrative experience into improving lives in Oyo State.
Ayansiju, while giving a brief address before his confirmation commended the house for its cohesion, cooperation, and manner the legislative arm synergizes with the executive arm.
