Appropriate salutation goes to the forefathers of our land, the traditional rulers, the chiefs, the political masters, the family heads, all generous men and women, the youths, the younger ones, the infants and the idols of the Igbeti and all fortunate readers of these statements. It is with maximum humility and respect i write to express my moody moods with respect to the backwardness of our dear land in terms of facilities, amenities, services and infact political opportunities.
Igbeti has almost been categorized as unknown in the political, social and economic history of Oyo State and this acts of ignorance have had an adverse effect on our communities and also do not allow a maximum access to spread our wings in clamour for our desires. As we all know that the size does not determine the level of productivity, Igbeti has been so productive to Oyo State and even the neighboring states in terms of varying agricultural products and other goods that come from the Town.
And even Igbeti is having the most purest
marble. but where is our purest Marble? and what have they use it for ?… As proud indigenes of Igbeti, we were born, bred
and brought up, we eat from the land and we still live, we drink the water of the land, we appear agile, we walk majestically on the land of Igbeti without fear, we are wonderful and today we have representative of Igbeti at the level of the National student body of Oke Ogun, Oyo State and Nigeria. This gave me the challenge, inspiration and motivation to make it known to the world, the Nigerians the good people of Oyo State and our dearest people of Igbeti land.
Igbeti is in need of so many valuable things. Their unavailability have for long been detrimental to the rapid growth of the area and have specifically resulted to the
underdevelopment of the Igbeti land from view. Igbeti land lacks higher institutions of learning, commercial banks, proper maintenance and utilisation of our marble, circulation of telecommunication networks; road infrastructure and so many others It is with full action, required commitment, appropriate consultation, peaceful confrontation and open consolidation we are set to embark on a trip that is going to yield both the long term and short term benefits to the people of Igbeti land.
To have a developed Igbeti land,
1. More political opportunities
2. In need of higher institutions of learning
3. Constant supply of electricity
4. More commercial banks
5. Proper maintenance and Utilisation of our Marble
6. Circulation of telecommunication networks
7. Development of our Tourist attractions are those things that are essentially needed in Igbeti land. All these would develop the economic, social and cultural situations of our communities.
Though every journey has a starting point, and the completion of a journey is the beginning of another. We hereby call on the appropriate bodies, individuals, cooperate organizations, political office holders, stakeholders, Comrade, traditional
heads all the good people of Igbeti land to
support the movement towards the attainment of the development of our dearest Igbeti land.
Comrade Adesina Julius O(PRESTIGE).
