The senatorial candidate of the Accord for Oyo South, Mr. Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi has heaped praise on Olubadan, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Senator Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun, Ali-Iwo (Alli Okunmade II), on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
In a congratulatory message made available to members of the Press, Kola-Daisi eulogized Olubadan’s devotion and unwavering commitment to the development of Ibadanland, while also praising his exemplary values that makes his life worth celebrating.
The message wrote, “Happy 80th birthday celebration to our dear King, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Senator Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun, Ali-Iwo (Alli Okunmade II).
“Dear Kabiesi, everything in your remarkable life and times, your affection and unwavering commitment to the people of Ibadan, your prodigious erudition, your generous spirit, and the joy with which you approach life have all contributed to this beautiful moment as you celebrate your 80th birthday.”

Oba Lekan Balogun, the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadan installed in March 2022, succeeding Oba Saliu Adetunji who died on January 2, 2022, at the age of 93.
