The Principal of Islamic High School,Basorun Ibadan, Mr.Abdulahi Fasasi on Tuesday was elected as President of the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS), Oyo State chapter.

He affirmed his commitment to working with all members to strengthen unity, promote professional excellence, and enhance the welfare of members, as well as the overall development of the education system they serve.

He solicited the unalloyed support and sincere cooperation of all members, including veterans who have retired from service, for the growth and development of education in Oyo State.

“I stand before you this afternoon, noble colleagues, with a deep sense of humility and gratitude as I accept the mantle of leadership of our dear Confederation. To lead a community of intellectuals and seasoned administrators is indeed a Herculean task, one that requires the collective support, wisdom, and cooperation of all members, particularly the members of the State Executive Council (SEC).

“First and foremost, I sincerely appreciate all members of this great Confederation for the confidence reposed in me by electing me to serve as your President. I regard this mandate not merely as an honour, but as a great responsibility to serve with dedication, fairness, and integrity. I therefore earnestly solicit your unalloyed support and sincere cooperation as we embark on this journey together.

“I must also commend our veterans who have worked assiduously over the years to keep the flag of this Confederation flying high. Their dedication, sacrifices, and commitment have laid a solid foundation upon which we can build and continue the noble work of advancing our great association. I pray that God Almighty continues to bless and uphold them wherever they may be.

“It will not be out of place to specially recognize and appreciate our immediate past President, Pastor Christopher Akioye, for his pragmatic and purposeful leadership. You came on board, served diligently, and completed your tenure with honour and distinction. Thank you for your mentorship, guidance, and exemplary service. I am indeed deeply grateful.

“As we begin this new chapter, I am committed to working with every member to strengthen our unity, promote professional excellence, and advance the welfare of our members and the educational system we serve. I also acknowledge the invaluable contributions of school administrators, education stakeholders, and partners who continue to support the growth and development of education in Oyo State.

“Distinguished colleagues, the success of this journey rests on two fundamental pillars: absolute commitment and prayers. With these two key ingredients, I am confident that success is assured.

“Let us therefore move forward together in unity, with a shared commitment to building stronger institutions and raising future leaders through quality education.

Other executive members include:-State Financial secretary: Mrs Oluwatoyin Soladoye National Rep; Mr Olowe Joseph ,Block1 chairman : Mr Toyin Akinrinwa.
