The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN) has announced the death of Alhaja Tawakalitu Abosede Siyanbade, wife of the Chairman, MUSWEN Property Development Committee, Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade.
According to a statement released by MUSWEN on Thursday, Alhaja Siyanbade, born on August 9, 1960, passed away on April 16, 2026.
The statement described the deceased as a beloved member of the Muslim community.
It announced that the Janaazah (Funeral Prayer) will be led by the Executive Secretary of MUSWEN, Prof. Lateef ‘Wole Abbas, and is scheduled for 4:00 PM at the Bodija Estates and Environs Muslim Community Islamic Center, Ibadan.
Burial will follow immediately after the Janaazah at Ultimate Rest Home, located along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Boluwaji, Ibadan.
Quoting the saying of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: _“Indeed the eyes shed tears and the heart grieves, but we do not say except what pleases our Lord,” MUSWEN prayed for Allah’s forgiveness and mercy upon the deceased.
“May Allah forgive her shortcomings, have mercy on her, and grant her Al-Jannatul Firdaus, Ameen,” the statement read.
Alhaja Tawakalitu Abosede Siyanbade was aged 65.
