A group made up of candidates for Oyo state House of Assembly Seats in the 2023 general elections under the platform of the Accord Party has congratulated Chief Bayo Adelabu over his appointment as the Minsiter of Power.
The group in a statement, on Monday, by its Public Relations Officer, Hon Oke-Are Aina called on Nigerians, the good people of Oyo state to support the Former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
While thanking President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Bayo Adelabu worthy of the appointment, the group also urged members of the All Progressives Congress to rally round Adelabu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The group added that with the appointment of Adelabu as a Minsiter, it’s clear that the party stands a better chance in the 2027 general elections.
Recall that Bayo Adelabu alongside 46 others were announced as Minsiterial nominees and have been screened by the National Assembly.
It read in part: “We want to use this opportunity to congratulate our leader, Chief Bayo Adelabu over his appointment as the Honourable Minsiter of Power.
“Your appointment is a sign of hope that the All Progressives Congress, APC will stand a better chance in the 2027 general elections in Oyo state.
“We also want to thank our leader and President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding Chief Bayo Adelabu worthy of the appointment. This shows that Mr President is ready to take the party in Oyo state to where it belongs ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“In view of this, we want to call on Nigerians, the good people of Oyo state and members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Oyo state to rally round Chief Bayo Adelabu.”
