Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde on Thursday forwarded the names of secretaries and members of the carateker committees for Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas to the Oyo state House of Assembly.
The Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin made this known while reading message from the executive during today’s sitting in Ibadan, the state capital.

According to the letter, Governor Makinde seeks for the consideration and confirmation of his request.
The all inclusive list consist of 136 women( two per LG/LCDA), 68 physically challenged persons (one per LG/LCDA).
In his remark, the Speaker of the house, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin noted that the nominees shall be screened by the necessary house committee, and their competence shall be checked.
He said, “It is true the list is impressively inclusive as our women and people living with disabilities are considered for place in governance to contribute their own quota to the development of our dear State.
“Nevertheless, the house will still screening the nominees to double check their credibility and competence.”
