Oyo state Governor Seyi Makinde has said that the dissolution of joint ownership of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology LAUTECH remains a success story for Oyo and Osun state and the unity of the Yoruba nation.
Governor Makinde who stated this when he paid a “Thank You” visit to Governor Gboyega Oyetola in his office in Osogbo.
He equally assured that in line with the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by both state, students of LAUTECH who are indigenes of Osun state as well as staff would be accorded due ownership status regard with necessary benefits.

The Governor also pledged never to renege on all provisions and agreement as contained in the MoU while commending Governor Oyetola for his statemanship and ability to look beyond primodial sentiments.
In his remarks, Governor Oyetola stressed that though the decision was a painful one, but for the sake of posterity, goodwill and unity of purpose the continued challenges rising from the joint ownership had to be dissolved.
The Governor of the state of Osun however noted that before exiting the joint ownership arrangement, the state had fulfilled all it obligations to the institution and expressed confidence that Governor Makinde would equally fulfill all agreement reached in the MoU of dissolution.
Emeritus Professor Olu Aina, Professor Ayodeji Omole and other members of the joint ownership review committee for both Oyo and Osun state were present at the event.
