Former governor Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Osi Olubadan of Ibadanland, has condemned the demolition notice given to Fresh FM 105.9 by the Oyo State government.
Senator Ladoja in a Statement by his media aide, Alhaji Lanre Latinwo wondered why government just woke up from her slumber to now realize that the building is constituting danger to the public well being.
“Where have they been for the 7 years that this government has been in power?
” This action of the government shows that of a drowning person that is looking for who will go down with him.”
The former governor sympathized with the owner of the station Dr Yinka Ayefele (MON) having spent a lot of his resources and energy on the organization only for a frustrated government to want to destroy it, “God will not allow it to happen.”
“With the response of the public so far, any government who does that shows that it’s unpatriotic and anti-people.”
“Fresh FM is one of the private organizations that has helped provide jobs in addition to informing, educating and entertaining the public, ” the statement added.
