A top contender for Saki West State Constituency seat at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Adekunle Koleosho has been congratulated by a group, Bonuola Vanguard over his successful screening exercise by the People’s Democratic Party, PDP screening committee.
In a release signed by the secretary of the group, Adebayo Okunlola, a copy of which was made available to newsmen, the group stated that Hon. Adekunle Koleosho has been duly screened and certified by the PDP screening committee.
The group commended Koleosho for his doggedness and readiness to change the narratives as to having better representation of Saki at the State House of Assembly level.
The group also commended Governor Seyi Makinde and the leadership of the PDP in Oyo State for jettisoning the unpopular idea of having consensus candidate in Saki West State House of Assembly Constituency saying “this will create a fair playing ground for aspirants aiming to represent their constituencies.”
Bonuola Vanguard which was the brain child of one of the leaders of the PDP, Senator Robert Bonuola Koleosho of blessed memory urged Governor Makinde to ensure the primary election is free, fair and credible.
The group also said that the lawmaker representing Saki West State Constituency, Honourable Femi Julius Okedoyin emerged and won his election in 2019 with the support of the group adding that he has since abandoned the group.
It reads in part: “It is on record that the current State House of Assembly member representing Saki West State Constituency, Hon. Femi Julius, though has now alienated himself from his benefactor, emerged through the influence and backing of the Bonuola Vanguard.
“The Sentor Koleosho’s Bonuola Vanguard also of note played a key role in the victory recorded by the PDP in Saki West elections of 2019.”
