The ANFANI 4ALL Foundation has expanded its Non-Interest Soft Loan Scheme across all 33 Local Government Areas of Oyo State, in a move aimed at supporting women traders and small business owners.
The initiative, championed by Chief Luqman Oyebisi Ilaka, the Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom, was announced by the foundation on Saturday.
According to the foundation, the scheme is designed to provide accessible, interest-free loans to market women, traders, and small-scale entrepreneurs as a way to remove the burden of high-interest borrowing.
“The programme aims to strengthen local businesses, improve household incomes, stimulate grassroots economic activities, and promote sustainable financial independence among beneficiaries,” the statement said.
Chief Ilaka described the intervention as part of his enduring passion for humanity, community development, and inclusive economic growth.
The foundation noted that for decades, the Ladilu of Oyo Kingdom has been involved in philanthropy, youth empowerment, and social welfare initiatives across the state.
“Empowering women economically is one of the most effective pathways to building stronger families, vibrant communities, and a more prosperous Oyo State,” the foundation stated. “This programme reflects a leadership philosophy that transcends rhetoric by creating tangible opportunities, restoring dignity, and transforming lives.”
The ANFANI 4ALL Foundation said Chief Ilaka remains steadfast in his belief that “genuine leadership is measured by the positive impact it has on the lives of ordinary people.”
As the scheme rolls out across the state, the foundation called on beneficiaries to make prudent use of the loans, grow their businesses, and contribute to the economic prosperity of their communities.
It also appreciated stakeholders, community leaders, volunteers, and supporters whose collaboration made the expansion possible.
