Ibadan South East/North-East Federal House of Representatives hopeful, Honorable Fawole Abass Olayinka has promised not to let down his constituents if voted in as a federal lawmaker in 2023.
Fawole made the pledged, on Monday, during a meeting with Ibadan southeast PDP leaders.
Fawole, an aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, during the interactive session held within the premises of the Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School, I.C.A.G. S, his alma mater, also assured his constituents an inclusive government if elected.
While feeding questions from the PDP stakeholders at the meeting, Honorable Fawole maintained that his major reason to run for an elective position is to ensure that his constituents enjoy dividends of democracy.
In his remarks, the PDP aspirant referenced the good work of the Oyo state governor, engineer Seyi Makinde and commended him for executing peoples oriented programs.
According to him, the APC government had access to excess funds during their reign but they did nothing tangible.
“Governor Makinde met little or no fund, yet he is doing well.
“APC government was notorious for owing salaries but game changed for better when governor Makinde took over the affairs of the state and the civil servants can live better lives again.”
Fawole, however, charged the PDP members in attendance to stand by the party and support his quest to become the representative of Ibadan South East/North-East Federal constituency in 2023.
Earlier before the meeting, Honorable Fawole Abass Olayinka met with major PDP leaders at the local government level.
The punching arm of the party he met with include the chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, honorable Alawode Emmanuel Oluwole; Secretary and assistant secretary to the local government, Mr. Omikunle Olayinka and Kamarudeen Fabunmi.
Other PDP stalwarts who have thrown weight behind Fawole to represent Ibadan South East/North East at the Federal House of Representatives include Mogaji Abass Oloko, another PDP chieftain in Ibadan South East Local Government, Honorable Kunmi Adesina.
Among the lists are PDP chairman, Ibadan South East LGA Mr. Sulaiman Adesina; Youth leader, Aare Ajibi Olaide Kazeem; women leader, alhaji Gbolagade Kemi; assistant women leader, Yinka Banjo a.k.a bigger; Olawale Lawal, CEO, Success media aide, amongst others.
