An humanitarian advocate and community development champion, Ms. Aisha Aliyu Adeleke, has paid a courtesy visit to His Royal Highness, the Aare of Ofiki Land, Oba Gbenga Adigun Adeoye Oyetunji Oyinlola II, JP, in Canada.
The visit, which took place on Monday, was marked by warm exchanges and deep discussions centred on community development, leadership, and the future of Ofiki, ATISBO Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
Speaking after the meeting, Ms. Adeleke described the encounter as “inspiring and insightful,” noting that the royal father shared valuable wisdom on purposeful leadership and collective progress.
“Baba warmly received me, and our discussion was both inspiring and insightful. We talked extensively about the Ofiki community, Atisbo Local Government, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large, especially the need for collective growth and purposeful leadership,” she said.
According to her, the visit also offered an opportunity to seek the monarch’s counsel on recent political calls and invitations she has been receiving from her people.
“I sought Baba’s guidance concerning the recent political calls I have been receiving from my people. His words were full of wisdom and deep understanding of life and leadership. He opened my eyes to many hidden truths that I found truly enlightening and valuable,” she added.
Adeleke commended Oba Oyetunji for his visionary leadership, humility, and commitment to the unity and progress of Ofiki Land, describing him as a rare monarch whose love for his people transcends borders.
“The people of Ofiki are indeed blessed to have such a visionary, humble, and wise king whose passion for development and unity is unshakable,” she noted.
While addressing her constituents, Ms. Adeleke reaffirmed her dedication to grassroots empowerment and community-driven development, stressing that building a better society is not limited to politics alone.
“As I shared with Baba, not everything is about politics. Every individual can make a meaningful contribution to the development of their community,” she emphasized.
She further assured the people of Ofiki and the entire Atisbo area that “better days are near” and encouraged them to remain hopeful and united.
“My dear people of Ofiki, I assure you that better days are near, and we shall all live to enjoy them together,” she said.
Adeleke, who recently officially joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Saki West Local Government Area, Ifedapo Federal Constituency of Oyo State, has been ecognised for her philanthropic initiatives, youth empowerment projects, and advocacy for women’s inclusion in governance.
