The monolithic voice of the people of Oyo state to vote Engr. Seyi Makinde as the new governor was a clear demonstration of an absolute rejection of the All Progressives Congress,APC by all and sundry and the desire to have a new lease of life in the state.
This was the submission of Barr Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, the gubernatorial candidate of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP in the just concluded elections through his Media aide Comrade Taiwo Ibrahim in a congratulatory message to the Oyo state Governor-elect Engr. Seyi Makinde.
Alli who was a major stakeholder in the coalition which saw the back of the APC out of Oyo government house said the people had cried to God and He had listened to them, they played out their own part by going out to vote and God played His, by making the votes of the people count.
“With the change of guard under the leadership of Seyi Makinde, a new dawn has come to Oyo state,a new era of humility and accountability in governance is expected to be witnessed.”
Barr Alli, a former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, expressed joy and felicitated with the new governor-elect as he equally felicitated with High Chief Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Sen. Olufemi Lanleyin, the gubernatorial candidate of the ADC,Barr Ayorinde,SAN of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, other party leaders and the generality of the people of Oyo State who sacrificed much to make the victory a reality.
He enjoined the people to be prepared to rally round the in- coming government so that it will lead all to a state of our dream.
