Engineer Najeem Omirinde, the immediate past chairman of the Oyo state Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency, OYRUWASSA has become a fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Environmental Engineers (NIEE), a division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
Omirinde was among other members given a fellowship award by the professional body, on Thursday, at an event held in Lagos.
While speaking shortly after the ceremony, the former member of the Oyo state House of Assembly thanked the professional body for the honour.
He promised to always uphold the tenets of the engineering profession for the betterment of the country.
Omirinde is also a distinguished member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, London.

EDUCATION
His educational foundation was laid at handwork. Kinnikinni Baptist Primary School in Saki from 1971 to 1976. This was followed by his formative years at Ansar-Ud-Deen High School in Saki from 1978 to 1983. His thirst for knowledge led him to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State, where he pursued his Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, graduating with Second Class Upper Division honors in 1989.

His journey then extended to Daniyan & Associate, where he played a significant role in Jos, Plateau State, from 1989 to 1990.
