A former Deputy Speaker of Oyo state House of Assembly, Rt Honorable Musah Abdulwasi PhD, has thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity given to him to serve as the Chairman, Oyo state House of Assembly Service Commission.
This is coming following the reconstitution of the board of the commission by the Governor and the approval by the Oyo Assembly lawmakers, on Wednesday, in Ibadan the Oyo state capital.
Abdulwasi, whose tenure came to an end as the chairman of the commission said he was happy that he and his team raised the bar of the Legislative service in the state while in office.
He made this known in a post on his social media account.
He also thanked the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Adebo Ogundoyin for a sound working relationship.
The post read: “I want to sincerely appreciate our Principal, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde for the opportunity accorded me to serve the State as the Chairman, Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission.
“I am particularly happy that me and my team raised the bar of the legislative service within the period of our stewardship to the extent that the legislative service is now occupying a place of recognition, autonomy and pride of all the staff amongst other services in the State while the careers of the staff were streamlined in line with extant working instruments.
“As we come to the end of our term of office, there can be no better way to thank almighty Allah than saying ‘alhamdulillahi’. And, of course we appreciate the Governor for the opportunity to serve and the Rt. Hon Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Adebo Ogundoyin for a sound working relationship.
“We pray that the Oyo State House of Assembly Service Commission shall continue to grow from strength to strength with great career paths for our legislative staff.”
