Having defeated the club on three (3) occasions in four (4) recent meetings, Crown Football Club is optimistic of reaffirming her supremacy over Warri Wolves Football Club, Delta State, in the last game of the season for both sides.
The Ajilete Warriors will lock horns with the Season Siders on Sunday 30th June, 2019 at the Warri Township Stadium by 4 pm in a win or mar encounter which is intended to be explosive and highly technical considering both teams stand on the Group B4 log table and the quest to play at the Super Eight (8) that will eventually produce the four(4) lucky teams to play in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) come 2019/2020 Football Season.
Crown FC tops the group with thirteen (13) points and plus three (+3) goals while Warri Wolves FC has ten (10) points with plus one (+1) goals from Eight (8) matches respectively.
A win by Crown FC qualifies them automatically while a draw will see them have fourteen (14) points and will rely on the outcome of the other matches in the group to determine the team fate.
A draw or lose by the host team puts an end to their promotion bid. So they will need a win with at least three(3) number of goals to keep their hope alive.
“We will not be bothered by any unsportsmanlike attitude by the host, before and during the game. Teams that have played them both home and away know what I’m saying. All I know is we will swallow the wolves with classical goals that nobody can deny.
“The officials that I know will officiate the game according to the rules of the game but I still implore all stakeholders to be physically present in the remaining games to avoid acts that will further mudsoak the name of the league,” Crown FC Assistant Coach, Tajudeen Raheem, told press in an interview in his hotel room this morning.
