In a congratulatory message issued on Saturday and made available to journalists in Ibadan, Asiwaju Abass described Chief Sanusi as an enigma, a pace-setter, and a true son of Odua whose life and investments have continued to uplift traders, marketers, artisans and the teeming youths across Oyo State and the South-West region.
According to the Babaloja General, Chief Sanusi, the Chief Executive Officer of *Ilaji Hotel and Resorts and the Okanlomo of Odua, has distinguished himself as a bridge between government and the grassroots through his massive job creation initiatives, empowerment programs, and unwavering support for small and medium scale businesses.
“Chief Dotun Sanusi is not just a businessman. He is a builder of men, a promoter of commerce, and a shining example of what selfless service to humanity should look like. Through Ilaji Hotel and Resorts, he has placed Oyo State on the map of tourism and hospitality in Nigeria,” Asiwaju Abass stated.
He further noted that as Okanlomo of Odua, Chief Sanusi has used his exalted position to promote Yoruba culture, unity, and economic prosperity, thereby making indelible marks in Ibadan, Oyo State and the entire Yoruba nation.
The statement reads in part:
“On behalf of the Babaloja in Council and the entire trading community in Oyo State, we heartily rejoice with you, Chief Dotun Sanusi, on the occasion of your elevation as Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, the Olubadan of Ibadanland. We pray that Almighty Allah in His infinite mercy grants you long life in sound health, more wisdom, prosperity, and the grace to render greater service to humanity and our dear state. We also pray that you attain the exalted position of Olubadan of Ibadanland in due time.”
