The Oyo State Coordinator and State Collation Officer, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, OFR, on Sunday afternoon formally presented the Oyo State Presidential Primary Election results of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, following the successful collation of votes across the 33 Local Government Areas of the state.
The result, as contained in the official APC State Result Collation Form, showed that a total of 143,683 votes were cast during the primary election exercise conducted across Oyo State.
Saki West Local Government recorded the highest number of votes followed by Ibadan North Local government area.
The result sheets were duly signed by the Oyo State Collation Officer, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, OFR, alongside President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s state agents, Hon. Bolaji Afeez Repete and Hon. Sulaiman Bankole, further affirming the authenticity and official completion of the collation process.
According to the collated figures presented by Senator Folarin, the APC presidential primary election was conducted peacefully and orderly across the state, reflecting the commitment, discipline, and active participation of party members at the grassroots level.
Speaking after presenting the results, Senator Folarin noted that the collation process was carried out with transparency, fairness, and strict adherence to the guidelines of the party, ensuring that every vote from the various local government areas was properly accounted for.
He commended party leaders, electoral officials, and APC members across Oyo State for their cooperation, maturity, and orderly conduct throughout the exercise, describing the process as a strong demonstration of internal democracy and unity within the APC.
The presentation of the results in Abuja marked the formal completion of Oyo State’s contribution to the APC Presidential Primary Election process, as party stakeholders continue nationwide collation and preparations for subsequent political activities ahead of future electoral engagements.
