Abu Gbadamosi, Kunle Sanda Commend PMB For Board Appointments

Two chieftains of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo State, Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi and Chief Kunle Sanda have commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment of key members of the party into the boards of federal parastatals.

In a statement released in Ibadan, the party chieftains said at no time in the nation’s history were so many people of Oyo State origin appointed into the boards of federal parastatals.

Their words: “At no time in the 43-year old history of Oyo State has so many indigenes of the state appointed into the boards of federal government parastatals. With this singular action, President Buhari has clearly shown that he is father of the nation.”

Oyo State has five chairmen of boards in the recent board appointments including Alhaji Bayo Oyero as chairman of Federal College of Agriculture, Akure; Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, chairman of the Federal Lottery Commisson; Prof Adeolu Akande, chairman of the Nigeria Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Mr Joseph Tegbe, Centre for Management Development and Mr Zacheus Adelabu, chairman of Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital, Bauchi.

Scores of others including party chieftains, including  Alhaji Abu Gbadamosi and Hon Kunle Sanda, were appointed members of numerous parastadals.

They continued: “It is also commendable that President Buhari seek out key members of the party for appointment. His choice of appointments will strengthen the party and place the party in good stead for future elections.

“The appointment of key party elements is assuring that President Buhari is truly a party leader who is desirous of building the APC into tbe biggest party in Africa and an institution for th”e unity and development of Nigeria.”

The party leaders pledged their support for the administration of President Buhari, affirming that his choice of appointees from Oyo State has guaranteed support for his second term in Oyo State.

“The choice of appointees in Oyo State represents the spectrum of the party. President Buhari has laid a solid ground for support for his second term in Oyo State because he has demonstrated that he is leader of all.

“We pledge the support of the APC in Oyo State for Mr President.The APC in Oyo State will always stand by Mr President,” they submitted.

The party chieftains assured President Buhari that appointees from the state will deliver their briefs diligently for the actualisation of the lofty ideals of the President Buhari administration. They said they identified with the aspirations of the government and assured that none of the appointees would be found wanting.

“The entire membership of the party is excited about the appointments and will leave no stone unturned to guarantee support for the government. We assure that when it is time to campaign for Mr President’s second time,all members of the party in the state shall be in the forefront,” they submitted.
