Properties belonging to Ogbomoso-born suspected Badoo cult leader, Alhaji Alaka Abayomi were yesterday seized by the Lagos State Government.
His hotel, an event centre and petrol station, situated along Ijebu-Ode-Itoikin Road in Sabo area of Ikorodu, were seized.
According to government officials, the properties violated the state’s Urban and Regional Planning Law of 2010.
This is coming less than 24 hours after the police arrested the group’s chief herbalist, Fatai Adebayo, with their shrine in Imosan, a suburb of Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, demolished.
Insideoyo.com had reported how the police, few days ago, declared Alaka wanted for his alleged connection with series of well-orchestrated killings and nefarious activities of the Badoo cult group in Ikorodu and Epe areas of the state.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy in the state, Mr Steve Ayorinde, confirmed this on Wednesday in a statement signed by him.
