Dr Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu popularly known as KSO has been declared winner of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC) House of Representatives Primary election in Ibadan North East/ Ibadan South East Federal Constituency of Oyo State.
Announcing the result of the primary on Saturday, the Chairman of the ADC Primary Election Committee in Oyo State, Mr Harrison Akpojaro said Abidikugu, a philanthropist, and Agbakin Bobajiro of Ibadanland scored a total votes of 1,619 to emerge the winner.
With the result, Abidikugu will fly the flag of the ADC in the National Assembly election slated for January 2027 and will represent Ibadan North East/South East in the House of Representatives if he wins the election..
Speaking shortly after being declared winner, Abidikugu who is a United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant thanked the ADC leaders and supporters in the Federal Constituency for electing him to represent the party in the election to the House of Representatives .
Abidikugu, a grassroots mobilizer promised to provide purposeful representation for the people of the constituency.
He charges his supporters not to rest yet , saying the big task is the election slated for January next year
He said, “If I am elected, I am going to bring about purposeful representation, for a long time our people have been neglected. So I am bringing a purposeful representation anchored on credibility, competence, compassion and unwavering concerns for the people.
“This is not just about politics, it is about my passion, vision and resolution to bring about purposeful development to my constituency. Purposeful developments in the area of healthcare, poverty alleviation, sustainable development and to reduce the level of poverty which is too high in the country right now. .So my intention when elected is to bring about more purposeful representation”
“I’m calling on all of you, my leaders, my supporters and the stakeholders in the Ibadan North East/ South East Federal Constituency, youths, women and all lovers of good governance to rally round me and see this project as your own project.
“Collectively we will bring about the desire developments to reduce the level of poverty not only in our constituency but the state and country as a whole and I’m promising you a purposeful future for the youths of our constituency”.
