Thousands of Muslim families in Ibadan and environs are expected at the forthcoming religious cum social gathering during the Eld Kabir festival celebrations.
The event tagged “Ibadan Eidfest 9.1” according to the organisers The Muslim Tribe Ltd/Gte aims to foster brotherhood and sense of community amongst Muslim families in the ancient city and beyond.
Convener of Ibadan Eldfest, Barrister Mahmudat Yussuf in a statement made available to journalists, said that the event has been slated to hold on Saturday, 30th May 2027 at the premises of University of Ibadan Central Mosque from 10:00 am.
She added that the event will provide opportunities for Muslims to enjoy recreation, connect, extend greetings, have fun, share ideas and experiences during the season.
Participants expected at the event include children, groups, families who wish to have memorable fun during the celebrations.
She added that the event will also provide opportunities for vendors to display and sell their goods and services.
Yussuf in the statement, said that the programme became necessary following the success of the 9th annual edition of its Eid event, adding that there has been a fervent call for a similar one during Eid-el-Kabir.
“Ibadan Eidfest is organised by The Muslim Tribe Ltd/Gte to foster brotherhood and sense of community amongst Muslim families.
“Following the success of the 9th annual edition of its Eid event, there has been a fervent call for a similar one during Eid-el-Kabir. It is as a result that the Ileya edition (Ibadan Eidfest 9.1) will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at The University of Ibadan Central Mosque Premises starting from 10am.
“Participants can register online via www.ibadaneidfest.com.ng or on the spot at affordable rates.
“Participants expected at the event include children, groups, families who wish to have memorable fun during the celebrations.
“The event will also provide opportunities for vendors to display and sell their goods and services.
“Other side attractions include horse ride, movie/documentary, games arcade, table tennis, VR, Play Station, food and drinks will be available for sale by vendors”.
