A 37-year old, Olayinka Ojo, has joined the race under the umbrella of Mega Party of Nigeria as the race for Oyo state governorship becomes more competitive.
The Oyo-born teacher and musician, Olayinka declared his ambition on Monday at the party secretariat in Ibadan.
While receiving the aspirant, the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Kolawole said he was delighted that youths are taking on the challenge of active politics and governance.
“Mega party is committed to fielding and supporting youth for the 2019 elections at every level. Those that have the zeal and intelligence to move the country forward in the positive direction”
In his address, Ojo Olayinka promised to run a transparent and credible governance that will reposition the state for the better. He promised that his government will provide innovative ways of tackling hunger, poverty and unemployment in the state.”
Also speaking at the event, the state secretary of the party, Dr. Kolawole Ajala charged the people of the state to go and register and collect their PVC to be able to effect positive change in governance by 2019.
