In recognition of his contributions to youth development, Alhaji Yunus Akintunde has been installed as one of the patrons of the Oyo State chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN.
At an event which took place in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to celebrate the 2017 international youth week.
In his acceptance speech, Akintunde, who is a former commissioner in the state, urged youths to be focused and desist from acts capable of impeding their future aspiration.
Advising youths to shun violent acts, Arch-bishop Ayo Ladigbolu and Prof. Sabit Olagoke said it’s time they took their destinies into hands by looking at what they can do for themselves and not rely on government for work.
