Believers in the style and brand of politics played by a one-time Oyo South Senator, Olufemi Lanlehin, fondly called Solan, have described him as a man of strong character and impeccable integrity, one who deserves to be celebrated by all.
Lanlehin’s supporters, under the aegis of The Solan Movement, made this disclosure in a felicitation message, released on the occasion of his 68th birthday, today 8 July, 2021.
The release, signed by Chief E. O Olaoye from Oyo Zone, as Chairman, and Alh. Rafiu Afuku from Oke-Ogun Zone, as Secretary, eulogised Lanlehin for his commitment to the welfare of the people and the development of Nigeria in general, and Oyo State in particular.
“Over the years, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan), has demonstrated his zeal to see that the people’s lives are better, by constantly staying true to the ethos of progressive politics. He is one politician whose word, is eternally his bond,” the statement said.
The Solan Movement, whose members cut across Oyo State’s 351 wards, comprises politicians, professionals and technocrats, and like its principal, is dedicated to the advancement of progressive politics and the sociopolitical development of Nigerians, particularly that of Oyo State people.
“We pray the Almighty God to grant Senator Olufemi Lanlehin (Solan), long life, in good health and prosperity, the statement concluded.
