Ibadan Southwest/NortWest Federal House of Representatives Hopeful, Hon. Abayomi Fagbenro popularly known as Bibire has joined other well meaning Nigerians to ask for a people’s constitution that will have input of all Nigerians unlike the 1999 Constitution which he described as a product of military government.
Abayomi Bibire made the call for all-inclusive constitution while participating on popular current affairs political programme of Raypower 95.1 fm, Ibadan, POLITICS TODAY through Studio-call from the United States of America.
Reacting to the question raised by Olayemi Afolabi the Presenter of the programme that if legislation can be made to propel development and curb insecurity in Nigeria, Abayomi Bibire said “first and foremost, we need a constitution in which all Nigerians will be involved because the 1999 constitution as amended is a military constitution which does not give room for state police Iit is my candid opinion that a Federation like Nigeria needs State Police for adequate protection of life and properties.
“In America here, there are different layers of security architecture which makes governance easier.”
When the Presenter asked about youths unemployment, the legislative aspirant responded saying “I am aware that the country does not have data base to know unemployed youths and so we need to know those who have jobs and those that are in need of employment.
“More so, we need to train our youths on skill acquisition and Oyo State government led by Governor Makinde is training youths on agriculture which will have tremendous effect on Oyo State economy when fully implemented”
About ideals that differentiate PDP from other political parties, Abayomi Bibire said “Peoples Democratic party stands for a prosperous and united Nigeria.”
