Oyo State Government has explained why it is yet to actualize the payment of all outstanding salaries of civil servants approved last week by the governor.
Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Mr Toye Arulogun stated this in an interview with Radio Nigeria correspondent.
Mr. Arulogun explained that the statement released by the government only indicated approval by the governor, stressing that there were procedure to follow before eventual payment.
The commissioner gave an assurance that before the end of the week, civil servants would begin to receive salaries for the months of September and October.
He noted that the state government remained committed to improving the welfare of people in the state.
