A member of the House of Representatives, Akin Alabi, has assured residents that he will join forces to ensure that the scourge of Coronavirus pandemic code-named COVID-19 is grounded within Nigeria.
The lawmaker, representing Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency in Oyo, made this remark in sympathy message to the announcement of Oyo state’s governor Seyi Makinde testing positive on Monday evening.
“Get well soon your excellency. Stay isolated and take care. Together, we will win this battle. All of us, across political, religious, and tribal lines will work together to defeat this scourge,” Hon. Alabi tweeted.

On Monday,Oyo state governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
He said he is asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate, advising residents to stay calm and safe by obeying directives from the COVID-19 taskforce.
