Governor Abiola Ajimobi has said that Senator Olamilekan Adeola Solomon would be the next governor of Ogun State “by the grace of God.”
Yayi, as Solomon who represents Lagos West in The Senate is fondly called, hails from Ilaro area of Ogun State.

The people of Yewa where Ilaro falls, have been agitating for the governorship position to be zoned to them.
In a video of a yet-to-identified event, Ajimobi had while extending courtesies to guests, said: “…my brother here, Yayi, by the grace of God, you’re the next governor of Ogun State. I know some people from Ogun State will be angry with my statement, but people know I speak my mind and that is it. Take it or leave it….”
