The University of Ibadan has been rated as an extra-ordinary university in Nigeria.
United States of America’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Stuart Symington, who disclosed this when he paid a courtesy call on the institution’s Vice-chancellor, Prof. Abel Idowu Olayinka in his office, said that there are many strategic ways the University can collaborate with his country for Nigeria’s development
A statement by the University’s Director of Public Communication, Mr. Olatunji Oladejo, quoted Symington, who was accompanied on the visit by his son, as expressing his willingness to deliver a public lecture for selected staff and students on capacity building and national development.
