Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has been honoured for his great contributions to humanitarian services, business, philanthropy and job creation in sectors spanning hospitality, entertainment, agriculture and real estates industries.
The award was presented to Chief Adelabu by the University of Ibadan School of Business Students Association (UISB-SA) in recognition of his positive impact in these sectors as regards direct and indirect employment alomg their respective supply chain.
According to Comrade Femi Awogboro, one of the Media Assistants to Chief Adelabu who released the message to journalists, he lauded the University of Ibadan Business School for the honour and recognition.
Chief Adebayo Adelabu who expressed his appreciation through Hon. (Mrs) Titi Gbadamosi, who represented him said the award will spur him to do more in his chosen areas of investment in Oyo state covering, agriculture, hospitality and real estates and the consequent creation of job opportunities for the people of the state. This is the greatest empowerment you can give to our people as against distribution of motor bikes, grinding machines, etc like regular politicians do. He had in the previous day delivered their annual lecture through his representative.
“I really thank the UISB-SA for the gesture. I am passionate about youth development and empowerment through creation of job opportunities for our young graduates for their livelihood while other established suppliers can also tap into the supply chain of these businesses”, Adelabu said.
The Agbaakin Parakoyi of Ibadanland charged the young people to remain focused on their studies and desist from any act that can tarnish their images as a great future awaits them.
