Oyo state Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde have been described as a true democrat and a God-sent leader, eager to entrench democratic principles as a bane on governance.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Special Assistant to Oyo state Governor on OYSIEC, Hon. Tallest Innocent, to mark the second year in office of the number one citizen of Oyo state.
Hon. Tallest said the scorecard of the Governor has silenced his critics and sent cold shivers down the spine of his rivals: “At a time where politicians merely pay a lips attention to the yearnings of their people, GSM has distinguished himself as a true Democrat. The just concluded local Government Chairmanship and ward councilorship election is a pointer to the disposition of His Excellency, towards having a government at the grassroots which will be a true reflection of the people’s will.
“The election was conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner with leaders emerging from the polls; poised to deliver service to the electorates.”
Tallest also hailed the Governor for surpassing expectations in the general development of the state through the execution of projects in critical areas of focus: “the four major pillars of this Government; Health, Education, Security and Expansion of the Economy have been pursued vigorously. The sincerity of purpose, decisive and pragmatic approach to Governance has set this administration in the path of greater achievements”
“The past two years, despite the challenges of COVID-19 been eventful and the good people of Oyo state stands to reap more beyond 2023 as GSM continues to dictate the pace.”
