An agric expert, Tokunbo Adewale Toriola, has officially declared intention to contest as Ibarapa Central/North constituency in the Oyo State of Assembly under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Toriola (Toks) made this declaration in a letter sent through Ward Charman to the party leadership on Tuesday, a copy seen by InsideOyo.com.
Toks said he has consulted widely and developed a blueprint with wish “I believe this constituency can be taken to an enviable height of pride if you so trust me with your support”.
“I wish to state that, I have been watching keenly the event in our constituency for a while now and I feel our constituency deserves better in the area of representation, accountability and service delivery in the area of dividends of democracy to our constituency,” the declaration letter reads in part.
“I am not unaware of the responsibility and challenges that are peculiar to the office holders in this capacity but I have consulted within and widely and I have developed a blueprint with wish I believe this constituency can be taken to an enviable height of pride if you so trust me with your support.
“I am an Agribusiness expert of over 16 years hands-on experience having worked in various corporate organisations in this country transversing almost 34 states and Abuja out of 36 states in this country and well groomed in human capital development and management, result oriented and effective and efficient service delivery even as a Consultant. I therefore solicit your support: morally and otherwise and I promise to make this Ward, this community and this constituency proud in my tenure.
“Let it be said everywhere in this Ward, local government and across the constituency that #Toksisok for the job to represent us at Ibadan come 2023 and may we all benefit from this at the end.”
