Chief Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has dissociated himself from several accounts on social media platforms, especially Facebook and Twitter.
These accounts have been posting unverified information in his name.
Igboho made this clarification while speaking to reporters in a viral video.
He warned Nigerians not to be scammed by persons using his name on social media platforms saying the accounts are being operated fraudulently by impostors.
Many social media accounts bearing the name and pictures of Sunday Igboho surfaced after his recent ultimatum to herdsmen in Igangan in Ibarapa North Local Government Area to vacate the land.
Insideoyo.com recalls that one of the houses of Sunday Igboho was razed by fire in the early hours of Tuesday.
Igboho while speaking on the level of damage done to his house said, “The worth of what was destroyed at my house cannot be less than N50 million.”
When asked if he’s aware of the language spoken by the bandits, Igboho said, “Those who were at the house are the ones who can give an explanation to that, because I wasn’t there. What they said was that they came with about five cars. I can’t tell for sure because I wasn’t there.”
He said his younger brothers who were at the house during the incident escaped unhurt, noting that the incident has been reported to the police who also came to inspect the scene.
