The Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Bashorun Akinwale Solomon Akinwole, has expressed confidence in the ability of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, to reposition Nigeria and restore citizens’ confidence in governance.
Wolekanle as he is foundly called stated this while declaring his support for Governor Makinde’s presidential ambition ahead of the 2027 general election, describing the governor as a visionary leader with the experience and capacity needed to move the country forward.
Speaking on Makinde’s recent declaration to contest the presidency in 2027, Akinwole said the governor’s antecedents, leadership style and unprecedented achievements in Oyo State have distinguished him as a credible and result-oriented leader capable of taking Nigeria to greater heights.
According to him, the Makinde administration has continued to demonstrate competence, transparency and people-oriented governance, earning the governor admiration across political, ethnic and regional divides.
He noted that the governor’s vision for national development, coupled with his commitment to infrastructural development, economic growth and good governance, would help reposition Nigeria if given the opportunity to lead the country.
Akinwole further stated that Nigerians are yearning for purposeful leadership and a government they can trust, stressing that Makinde possesses the qualities required to restore confidence in governance.
He therefore called on Nigerians, especially stakeholders within the opposition political parties, to unite and support Makinde’s presidential bid in the interest of national progress and sustainable development.
