The minister of Communications, Barrister Adebayo Shittu has faulted the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole over calls for the resignation of the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu.
Shittu said the call is unfair on the part of the INEC Chairman and saying it may affect the conduct of the rescheduled general elections on Saturday.
He described the APC primaries supervised by Oshiomhole as horrible.
“When Oshiomhole supervised horrible primaries elections of the party, who called for his resignation?” he queried.
The minister stated this at his Ibadan residence on Monday and urged Nigerians to give the INEC chairman a benefit of doubt.
