Chairman, Oyo State Rural Water Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA) and Aspirant for Saki West, Saki East and Atisbo Federal Constituency Seat, Engineer Najeem Omirinde has on Thursday, welcomed the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde to Saki in Saki West local government area of the state.
Governor Makinde will be in Saki today alongside his colleague, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, of Adamawa State to commission the 9.7km Saki Township Road dualisation project.
This was contained in a statement on Wednesday by the State Commissioner for Information, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun.
The statement reads in part, “His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde welcomed his Adamawa counterpart, H.E. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri to the State capital, Ibadan.
“Governor Fintiri who would commission the 9.7km Saki Township Road dualisation project, also paid a visit to the central Abbatoir, Amosun village”.
Omirinde commended Governor Makinde for the completion of the road which the last administration abandoned despite many promises of completing it.
Omirinde further called on sons and daughters of Saki to come out to welcome the Governor and show appreciation.
He congratulated the Okere of Saki, Oba Khalid Oyeniyi Olabisi Ilugbemidepo saying Saki is witnessing rapid development during his reign.
