Popular fuji musician, Saheed Okunola aka ‘Saheed Osupa’ has lost one of his band boys to greener pasture.
Sunday Balogun, who is popularly called ‘Oluperi’, has led the band for many year before calling it quit few months ago.
He, however, denied insinuations that there was disagreement between him and his former boss.
He was said to have resigned from the band to take up lecturing job in a US university that offers courses in drumming.
Oluperi, it was learnt, was in the US for a short engagement in 2015. He was said to have returned to Nigeria after a successful trial with the institute.
It was gathered that the Institute last year decided to engage the experienced drummer. He has since accepted the offer and relocated.
Revealing that there was no disagreement between him and Osupa, he said he only considere the job as an elevation and he decided to take it. He also explained that Osupa was happy and prayed for him when he told him about the development.
