More than 400 vulnerable children in Ibadan have received nutritious food packs through the Project Nourish Food Bank of RuffyEdwards Empowerment Initiative, as the organisation continues its fight against childhood hunger and malnutrition.
The outreach was carried out in the Agugu area of Ibadan North East Local Government Area and the Ring Road area of Ibadan South West Local Government Area, where hundreds of children from underserved communities benefited from the initiative.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RuffyEdwards Empowerment Initiative, Princess Adedolapo Oni, said the programme was designed to address hunger, improve the nutritional well-being of vulnerable children, and restore hope to families facing economic hardship.
She explained that the two communities were selected following a comprehensive needs assessment conducted by the organisation to identify areas where intervention was most urgently required.
According to Princess Adedolapo Oni, Project Nourish is a monthly food support programme dedicated to ensuring that vulnerable children—both in and out of school—have access to nutritious meals.

“At RuffyEdwards, we believe that no child should have to battle hunger. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow, learn and dream without the burden of an empty stomach. Through Project Nourish, we are not only providing food but also restoring hope, dignity and a brighter future for our children.”»
She expressed profound appreciation to the organisation’s donors, partners, volunteers and supporters whose generosity continues to sustain the initiative and expand its reach.
Princess Adedolapo Oni also appealed to corporate organisations, philanthropic individuals and development partners to join hands with RuffyEdwards Empowerment Initiative in the fight against childhood hunger, noting that collective action is key to creating lasting change.

Through its Project Nourish Food Bank, RuffyEdwards Empowerment Initiative remains committed to ensuring that every child has access to nutritious meals and the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
