The Lawmaker representing Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Hon. Captain Ajao Jacob Adejumo has dumped the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Oyo state
Recall that Adejumo who was elected under the platform of the Action Democratic Party, ADP, had earlier dumped the party at the floor of the House of Representatives for the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Insideoyo.com gathered that Adejumo dumped the APC after his inability to get the party’s leaders and stakeholders endorsement for a second term.
This newspaper gathered that the leaders and stakeholders in Ogbomoso are considering the son of Late Oyo Governor, Olamiju Akala as the party’s flag bearer.
Sources within the camp of the Vice-Chairman House Committee on Navy told insideoyo.com that he may join the Social Democratic Party, SDP adding that talks are ongoing to finalize the deal.
Ajao is expected to clinch the SDP ticket to contest the 2023 general election for Ogbomoso North, South, Orire Federal Constituency.
