The senator representing Oyo North senatorial district, AbdulFatai Buhari has cautioned Muslims against indulging in any unholy act during the Ramadan
This is just as he urged them to use the period to pray for sustainable peace and progress in the country.
According to Buhari, who was a former Reps member and commissioner, advised that “As Muslims, our prayers and supplications to Almighty Allah during this fasting period should not only be limited to ourselves and family but to our community, state and the nation at large.”
Buhari, who chairs The Senate Committee on ICT and Cybercrime further called for special prayer against any spiritual and physical attack against the country and its leaders, especially President Muhammadu Buhari who is currently undergoing medical vacation in the United Kingdom.
While tasking Islamic preachers and leaders to always speak the truth, Buhari said, ‘ our religious leaders should always preach the truth as directed by Almighty Allah and Prophet Muhammed (SAW) which will guide the people on the path of righteousness as enshrined in the Holy Quran and Hadiths”.
