Ibadan-based popular broadcaster, Edmund Obilo, today graduated from the University of Ibadan with a master’s degree in political science.
He was said to have sought admission to the department to horn his skills in political commentaries and events.
Obilo, an indigene of Imo State, who began his career with Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, Ibadan network station before join Splash FM as a sports broadcaster in 2007, studied Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Benin for his first degree.
Though he has left Splash FM, Obilo’s thought provoking programmes like Voices, Village Square, Economoc Searchlight, Sports Bang were toasts of many radio listeners.
He was a thorn in the flesh of many politicians and public office holders before he left for Inspiration FM. However, he has not been able to stabilise himself since leaving Splash FM.
It was gathered that he now airs his programme via Facebook live streaming every week.
